The long wait is over – Client Filter EA release is here at last!
The Netsweeper Client Filter is now a simple and unified cross platform release packaged for Mac, Windows, Chrome, iOS, and Android operating systems sharing the same versioning information.[vc_single_image media=”33320″ media_width_percent=”100″][vc_single_image media=”33321″ media_width_percent=”100″][vc_single_image media=”33322″ media_width_percent=”100″][vc_single_image media=”33323″ media_width_percent=”100″][vc_single_image media=”33324″ media_width_percent=”100″][vc_single_image media=”33325″ media_width_percent=”100″]The new Client Filter can now do full URL, path, and query filtering across all platforms enabling Safe Search, Search Keywords, and highly granular filtering capabilities.
This release adds support for MacOS 10.12 Sierra. The Sierra release of MacOS removed the firewalling features we used in all previous versions of the MacOS Client Filter. The new Client Filter required a special kernel extension signing key from Apple, which Netsweeper Inc. has now been granted. For any customers using MacOS 10.12 Sierra, it is recommended that you download and start testing the 6.22 EA release.
Apple has stopped supporting MacOS 10.8 and below, and therefore, our new release supports MacOS 10.9 and above.
If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to reach out to support@netsweeper.com.
